Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Tag A Meal Sdn. Bhd., its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, associated companies and jointly controlled entities (collectively "TAM", “we”, “us”, “our”) collect, use, process and disclose your Personal Data through the use of our mobile applications and websites (respectively “Apps, “Websites”). In this respect, you shall be responsible for providing accurate, not misleading, complete and up-to-date Personal Data to us and consent to the processing of these Personal Data by us in Malaysia and outside Malaysia. 

This Policy applies to our Customers, Vendors, Riders, agents, local distributors, suppliers, service providers and other partners involved directly or indirectly in the process of completing the business transaction (collectively “you”, “your” or “yours”).

In the event of any conflict between the English and any other language version in the Websites, the English version shall prevail. TAM shall have the right to modify, update or amend the terms of this Policy at any time by placing the updated Policy on the Websites. By continuing to interact with us or by continuing to use our services following the modifications, updates or amendments to this Policy shall signify your acceptance of such modifications, updates or amendments.

 “Personal Data” refers to any information which you have provided to TAM that can be used to identify you.

 “Processing” refers to collecting, holding, storing, recording, organizing, adapting, using, disclosing or correcting Personal Data.

“Rider” refers to a person or company engaged by us to carry out delivery service according to terms and conditions stipulated in the Rider’s Contract for Service.

“Vendor” refer to merchant partners who have entered into agreement to render services and products to TAM as specified in the respective agreement.



The provision of your Personal Data is voluntary. However, in the event you do not provide the required Personal Data, we may not be able to communicate with you and/or provide you with the services requested.

If you do not consent to the terms of this Policy, please do not access our Websites, Apps or provide your Personal Data to us.

We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Data from those below the age of 18, or knowingly allow such persons to register an account with us. If you are under 18, please do not use our Website or Apps, or attempt to register an account or send Personal Data about yourself to us.


What is Personal Data?

“Personal Data” means data about a person who can be identified from that data or with combination of other information to which we have or likely have access to.


What Personal Data we collect from you?

TAM collects Personal Data from you when you voluntarily complete a registration form with us for the purpose of becoming a member, information such as but not limited to your name, address, telephone number, NRIC/passport no., email address and credit/debit card details.

We also collect Personal Data when you complete any services related survey. Website usage information may also be collected using cookies. 

Data may be sent automatically to us by your web browser, computer, mobile or tablet device. Such information includes IP address of the web page you were visiting when you accessed our site, time and date of your visit. We make sure that data transmitted to us are in accordance with applicable laws. Please check the settings of your browser and/or device if you need details of the data automatically sent or you wish to change the settings.


How we use your Personal Data?

Personal Data collected by TAM from you may be used and/or shared with third party (including related companies and affiliates, third parties, service providers and third party sellers).

Use of Personal Data
Member registration
As part of our member registration process, data collected is used to determine the acceptance and refusal of an applicant.
Facilitate communication during and after receiving application via email, WhatsApp, phone or other applicable devices.
Used in preparing and signing of contract or other legal documents upon successfully becoming a member.
Continual monitoring for Rider
As part of the business transaction, data will be used to monitor delivery performance as per agreed obligation to customer in terms of delivery time and quality of dealing with customers.
Processing order
Data is used to ensure orders are processed accurately, job allocation is being done fairly and registered correctly.
Delivery control
Using available digital tools to assign delivery order at optimal timing based on distance between the vendor and the intended customers in relation to Riders’ real time position. Here we use identification data, geolocation data, technical data and contact data.
To ensure prompt delivery of products and services ordered by our customers, coordination data of Rider and control center is established during the process using available tools. Particularly in response to queries pertaining to collection arrangement.
Photos and videos
You may be required to take and publish photos and videos in the process of delivery. The photos and videos may be used to resolve claims or disputes or as allowed or required by applicable law.
Delivery estimation
During delivery, anonymized geolocation data of yours is gathered to provide average speed to calculate estimated time of arrival to customers.
Based on your provided data, you can make payment for purchases or receive refund for cancellation of order. Or we can make payment to your products and service fees rendered per agreement.
Order evaluation
Data is collected to evaluate order performance, including but not limited to login timing, acceptance of order, time taken for completing a specific task.
Legal purposes
Your data is used when we are required, advised, recommended, expected or requested to do so by our legal advisors or any local or foreign legal, regulatory, governmental or other authority.
Your data is used when carrying out analysis using available tools on the performance and customer experience on our products and services.

Cookies and Google Analytics

To facilitate and customize your experience with our products and services, we store cookies on your devices. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your devices for record-keeping purposes which contains information about you. We use cookies to help you save time while using our products and services, remind us who you are, and track and target your interests in order to provide a customized experience. Cookies also allow us to collect Non-Personally Identifiable Information from you, like which pages you visited and what links you clicked on. Use of this information helps us to create a more user-friendly experience for all visitors.

Our products and services use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files saved on your devices, to help the Website analyze how you use the site. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our products and services, compiling reports on Website and Apps activity for Website operators and providing other services relating to Website activity and internet usage.

Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

In addition, we may use Third Party Advertising Companies to display advertisements on our Websites and Apps. As part of their service, they may place separate cookies on your computer. We have no access to or control over these cookies. This Policy covers the use of cookies by our Websites or Apps only and does not cover the use of cookies by any Advertiser. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you may be able to modify your browser settings to decline cookies. Please note that if you decline or delete these cookies, some parts of the Websites and Apps may not work properly.


Transfer and disclosure of Personal Data

We do not rent, trade or sell your Personal Data. Your Personal Data will not be disclosed by us to any third party, except the following conditions:

  • As our storage facilities and servers may be located in other jurisdictions; your Personal Data may be transferred to, stored, used and processed in a jurisdiction other than Malaysia.

  • From time to time we may send your Personal Data to third parties which is considered part of our process of products and service offers.

  • In processing your recruitment application, we may send your Personal Data to credit reference and fraud prevention agencies where permitted, under applicable laws.

  • Required by any affiliate, subsidiary or partner of ours.

  • Required by our technology, marketing and logistics service providers;

  • Required by lawyers, auditors, professional advisors and investors of ours;

  • Any other agents, service providers or subcontractors acting for or on behalf of us, to the extent required to carry out in Section “How we use your Personal Data”;

  • Where such disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law, statute, stock exchange regulation or by-law, regulatory or governmental order or court order.


From time to time, we may collaborate with other third parties to carry out joint marketing and promotional campaign, contest, lucky draw, thus requiring your consent of disclosure of your information to such parties, otherwise you will not be able to participate in the event or contest. 


If you do not wish to be contacted by third parties please email to us at to off load your data all together. In this case, you will not be able to use our services.


Access to your Personal Data and rectification requests

Subject to any exceptions under applicable laws, you have the right to request a copy of the Personal Data and rectify the Personal Data we hold on you at any time. Please email to our Data Compliance Officer if you would like to receive a copy of this information, to submit a Personal Data rectification request or if you seek further information on this Policy – There may be a small charge for processing this Personal Data access request. 


Retention of your Personal Data

We will retain your Personal Data for the duration necessary or permitted to by law to fulfill the foregoing purposes. Once it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purposes mentioned and is no longer necessary for any legal or business purpose, we will take steps to securely erase and dispose such Personal Data through anonymization.


How to access and amend your Personal Data?

What choices do you have?

All information collected is used according to the purpose of use as listed in above table which is customized. We may keep a copy of your unrevised data after your changes.

Is your data secure?

Your account is protected by a password known to yourself, you are required to protect against unauthorized access or use of your account. Remember to sign off after you have completed your access or transaction. You are responsible for any loss, theft of your account information that occur through unauthorized password login.

We put in place security measures to protect your privacy and Personal Data, in a way appropriate to prevent unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risk. Nevertheless, the risk of unauthorized use can still occur. We do not warrant or guarantee in any way that your Personal Data or private communications will always remained private and/or safe. We hereby disclaim any responsibility or liability directly or indirectly arising out of or in connection with, any loss, theft, or unauthorized access, collection, copying, use, disclosure, disposal, modification or similar actions with regards to any Personal Data held or maintained by us, except to the extent caused by our fault or negligence.


Right to amend Policy

We reserve the right to amend the above Security & Privacy Policy whenever necessary, such amendment will be displayed on our Websites and Apps.


Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use and all other matters relating to your access to or use of, the Websites, Apps and the services shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. You hereby agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
